Global Faith Restored in Dubai

Global Investors have held faith in Dubai economy, making the emirate, the first and most-preferred option for future investments within Middle East, revealed the latest international survey report. The global management consulting firm, AT Kearney, in its survey report, revealed that about 28percent of investors prefer investing in Dubai, followed by 18percent in Abu Dhabi, 15percent in Egypt, 8percent in Oman and other Middle Eastern states.

The investors have chosen Dubai as preferred destination for investment mainly due to its ease of doing business, access to best infrastructure, advanced logistics amenities and safe environment, as well the vibrant Dubai property market.

The AT Kearney, in their report, said that Dubai is a gateway destination, much like Hong Kong for mainland China and Singapore in Southeast Asia. About 81percent of those surveyed have investments in Dubai, and plan to maintain or increase their investments in next three years. The investors also expressed confidence in Dubai’s ability to rebound from global crisis.

Dubai has helped the UAE to maintain its ranking as the most-preferred destination in the Middle East, despite the drop by three rankings.

It is estimated that 22,400 residential units were handed over in 2009, in spite of over bn worth of residential projects being put on hold or cancelled.

Demand remained stable with little change between Q1 2009 and Q2 2009, compared to the 58% annual decrease between Q2 2008 and Q2 2009.

Craig Plumb, head of research at Jones Lang LaSalle Mena added: ‘The stabilisation of transactional volumes is an important indicator, which reflects improved confidence among investors. The narrowing gap between asking prices and achieved prices is a further indication that the market is beginning to stabilise, albeit at significantly lower levels of pricing than those seen earlier in the year.

‘While there have been a large number of projects delayed or cancelled, there remains a significant level of new supply, with around 22,400 residential units expected to be completed across Dubai in 2009.’ As such, 2010 has witnessed an increased demand in Dubai residential properties.

More information over Luxury Villas in Cyprus

In the North of Egypt and in the South of Turkey on the Mediterranean Sea, a small island Cyprus is situated and it has got warm climate through out the whole year. This makes it an ideal place to stay, and the best way to do this is to buy Luxury Villas in Cyprus.

Paphos a highly touristic area that combines holidaymaker fun with local charm and perfect place to live in and is situated in the Western end of the island. There are many Paphos Villas to buy for and can also have Greece Properties ,which is 30 minute away from Polis, Coral Bay and Kato Paphos. Paphos can offer more than this, including reptile parks, water parks, a fantastic harbour and of course miles and miles of glorious sandy beaches.Cyprus Developers has made it such a place where you will have no problems in finding cyprus property for sale.

Waking along the coast can brings you bring you to Limassol District ,which is a magnificent tourist spot to visit. Pissouri and Parekklisia are calm and composed parts of Limassol and spending a day in here will give you time to unwind yourself. Here you can spent a whole day chilling on the beach or by the private pool provided by the cyprus villas with pools. The next district along the coastline is Larnaca which was once the main shipping port of this island. In recent years Larnaca’s English community has done a huge progress and Finikoudes is great in the evening. Also plenty of shops, cafes, bars and ice cream parlours are present here and there are many more activities that can keep you amused all the time before you think of resting in your cyprus apartments.

In the Eastern part of Cyprus is Famagusta district which is the shopping town of Paralimni and the resort towns of Protaras. It is also the clubbers haven of Ayia Napa. After looking this place you’ll find that this is the perfect place to live in with everything that you need to live a happy life.

Why You Should Live In Cyprus ?

Are you looking for a dream location to settle down in? Tired of drab weather, stress-filled days and the hustle and bustle of your current lifestyle? If you are looking for a change in work, a chance to retire, or just the opportunity to have a house to sneak away to for relaxing vacations, look no further. The warm and sunny island of Cyprus along with its friendly folks and relaxing ambience beckons you!

This delightful Mediterranean island located conveniently at the south of Turkey, north of Egypt, west of Syria and east of Greece, has some of the best climates in Europe – warm summers and mild winters, which is excellent for healthy living. In addition to the unspoilt beaches, gorgeous coastlines and ancient archaeological sites across the island, Cyprus has plenty to offer; a stable government that boasts an advanced economy and a booming infrastructure. Ever since it was included as a member of the European Union (EU) since 2004, and adopted the euro as its currency in 2008, it has gained immense popularity for people willing to work or open their own businesses there.

There are so many reasons to consider moving to Cyprus. Compared to its European counterparts, the cost of living is relatively low, whilst the quality of life enjoyed is much healthier and enjoyable. Cyprus has adapted the British-based legal and banking system, so managing your finances won’t be difficult. With English being the second language spoken there, it is not essential to learn the native Greek language to communicate, even if you plan to work in Cyprus. With excellent public and private education opportunities, ample medical facilities available, and a very low crime rate, making the decision to settle down and live in the island should be easy!

Another benefit of Cyprus’s EU inclusion means that it is easier for EU citizens without permanent residency to buy properties. There are ample properties available for purchase at relatively cheap prices – mansions, town houses, luxury villas with pools, apartments, countryside bungalows, penthouses and more than enough land available for you to build your own dream home. Searching for the right property for you to settle down or retire in is no easy task, and you may require the services of a real estate agent.

Things to Look for When Selecting and Booking a Family Activity Holiday

Research in the UK (and this seems to be also true of many other countries) consistently shows that as time goes by and holidaymakers become more and more experienced in overseas travel, they are starting to look for holidays the offer them something slightly more than just lying on the beach or lying by the pool.

As the majority of potential holidaymakers now use the Internet to research their holiday purchase and gain ideas for what sort of holiday might suit them, they are becoming aware of the breadth of activity holidays choices open to them and are more energetically investigating them.

Some key questions need to be answered at the start of the researching and choosing process:

1. What balance does the family want to strike between “relaxation” and “full on” activity?

2. Being realistic, what constraints are placed on the type of holiday your family can enjoy by the ages and physical capabilities of the children?

3. Are there any specific activities or sports that members of the family have set her heart on participating in whilst on holiday?

4. What balance does the family want to strike between being “sociable” on holiday and having their own space?

Once these questions have been answered the next task is to start researching options.

Roughly 80% of people now booking a holiday carry out research on the Internet and this is the obvious place to start but another good source of ideas is to read some of the specialist magazines to cater for the particular activity all sport that you and your family are most interested in. These magazines (for obvious reasons) attract very targeted advertisers and they can be a good source of ideas for potential holiday companies to use.

Although the most common starting point for researching travel on the Internet (and this is no surprise to anybody!) is Google, there are some excellent sources of unbiased information and reviews on sites such as Holiday Watchdog (holidaywatchdog.com) and Trip Advisor (tripadvisor.com). Holiday Watchdog offer opinions from people who have actually stayed in the different properties but Trip Advisor is the best known for independent opinions.

Categories of family activity holiday to worth considering:

The type of family activity holiday that is going to meet the requirements of any particular family will, to a great extent, be dictated by the ages of the children in the family.

With children under about five years old it is definitely worth considering what are generally referred to as “beach club holidays”. These are resort based holidays with excellent child-care facilities for all ages of children from very small baby’s right up to older teenagers.

Most tour operators, and certainly the bigger ones, make sure that the children’s clubs are all staffed by highly professional and qualified teams and that the activities undertaken over the course of a holiday keep the children busy and having a great time. The advantage of these types of holidays is that it frees adults up to take full advantage of the activities on offer which usually include dinghy sailing, day yacht sailing, mountain biking, tennis or simply socialising and lying by the pool. One thing to consider though is that these beach club holidays are often quite sociable, particularly at meal times and around the bar and this may not suit everyone.

Another type of family activity holiday worth considering would be something that includes more “exotic” travel such as an organised family tour to Egypt taking in the Pyramids and major temples and also including a felucca cruise on the Nile. This type of family activity holiday can be said to truly “broaden the mind” and is available in any number of countries including holidays in South America and Europe.

Taking a family on holiday is expensive at any time but where families have to book their holidays during high season in school holidays then top prices usually have to be paid. Having said this, if you are flexible with your destination and departure dates and you are prepared to wait until the last minute then bargains can be found. It is often well worth telephoning the sales departments of the holiday company that interests you to see what they have left – you might get a pleasant surprise!

Our Extraterrestrial Heritage?

A recent survey suggests that “79% of Americans who reckon alien life probably does exist”. What can be the reason for this extraordinary statistic? Why does this idea exist in such a high percentage of the population?

Can this belief in alien life come from the possibility that we are all connected to an extraterrestrial race? Was the ‘missing link’ in our evolution due to the arrival of an alien race that bred with or somehow implanted its genetic material and educated our Homo sapiens ancestors around 13,000 years ago? As per Darwin’s theory, those Homo sapiens with the Alien Visitor gene had a significant advantage and began to replace those that didn’t – resulting in the human race that quickly evolved from a single point.

Does this explain the unusual leap in our evolution from Homo to pharaoh? It would also explain our common bond (collective conscious) as our alien knowledge is transferred down the generations via this trans-generational memory gene, where each generation is able to access some of this knowledge which in some cases we classify as ‘genius’. This trans-generational memory gene can also explain our IQ, imagination and the paranormal!

With the rapid development of genetics, epigenetics, DNA, etc., scientists around the world are closing in on the gene(s) that differentiate us from our closest relatives the Chimpanzee and Bonobo. Could these distinctive genes belong to an extraterrestrial ancestor that arrived and thrived on Earth in our pre-history? In the meantime can clues be found elsewhere?

In Wiltshire, UK near to the stone circles at Avebury stands Silbury Hill. This ancient mound has provided the background for a number of UFO sightings and many of the less obvious man-made crop circles in recent years. Are there any clues to show that Silbury Hill is linked to extraterrestrials and hence human evolution?

The perception we have of Silbury Hill is nothing more than a burial mound or ancient fort. This is mainly thanks to the archaeological establishment, in particular Professor Atkinson’s dig from 1968-1970 and subsequently endorsed by English Heritage.

The English Heritage Conservation and Restoration Project in 2007/2008 followed the previously mentioned tunnel by Professor Atkinson. Although much of the evidence of its age and function had been contaminated over the centuries, there was some evidence discovered during this recent dig to suggest that Silbury Hill was originally constructed as a pyramid.

Some of the uncovered information to suggest this extraordinary possibility is as follows:-

There were large sarsen stones found at the summit and a number of pieces have been discovered close to the surface elsewhere in the Hill. These large sarsen stones suggest a cap or podium at the top of the structure.

Large chalk blocks measuring 29 x 39½ x 12 pyramid inches were discovered at the top of Silbury Hill.

“Over 10,000 survey points on the mound alone allowed us to plot detailed contours. This emphasised that the structure is not in fact circular, but built in straight segments that may indicate radial walls or buttresses”
English Heritage

A thin band of dark brown butter-textured material approximately 5mm thick spread across the base area prior to the construction. So far no stones have been found in this bizarre band of mica-like material.

Close to the entrance a large chamber had been discovered and its purpose unknown. Other cavities have been discovered beneath the base of the Hill. Does this suggest evidence of a storage place but any artefacts placed within had long since been removed and any records lost?

A few flint flakes some dated to 12,000 years old were discovered in pits on top of the first phase of Silbury Hill.

The building of the final phase of the Hill occurred in “steps”.

Archaeologists found this to be a very ‘clean’ site, suggesting that once Silbury Hill had been built, it seems unusual that only a selected few had access to the Hill.

It is clear that in our pre-history there was a mass of people in this area who were organised and prepared to work very hard in relative harmony, but we can still only guess at its function. So, to understand Silbury Hill we need to move our focus elsewhere to attempt to provide a plausible explanation for its purpose. I believe answers can be found by studying the most ancient and mysterious monuments found on Earth – pyramids!

We are aware of the Great Pyramid in Egypt but what is not fully understood is the existent of hundreds if not thousands of pyramids built on every continent on Earth during our pre-history. So, why were these amazing technological structures built?

There are many examples of Egyptian pyramids that show a ‘de-nuded Silbury Hill’, i.e. what Silbury Hill may have looked like if it was built in an arid environment. Similar mounds to Silbury Hill covered in vegetation found in Bosnia, Slovenia, China, etc., have also been shown to be pyramids.

To find out more, we must first understand the scientific properties of the pyramid. Clues can be found thanks to the discovery of the atom and its constituent parts which enabled the development of electricity by 19th century inventors including Westinghouse, Edison and Tesla. The motion of negatively charged electrons in one direction and positively charged in the other around an electric circuit known as an electric current is clearly understood. What is less familiar is the flow of ionic energy around our planet. Ions occur when an atom either gains an electron (anion) or looses an electron (cation). Ions exist naturally due to the ongoing atomic reactions with energy sources such as heat, light and sound energy. An ionic current flows when the negatively charged anions are attracted towards the positively charged (opposites attract) Sun via the ionosphere and the positively charged cations are attracted from the Sun to the negatively charged Earth. This flow of ionic current is a natural occurring wireless phenomenon.

However, if a pyramid shape is placed on the ground thus intersecting this flow of ionic current, its effect is to dramatically increase the flow of electrical energy at the tip of the pyramid compared to the base, i.e. the pyramid is able to generate and store free electrical energy!

All pyramids have been found to contain some crystalline/quartz stone such as sarsen, granite or salt. These materials act as a transducer. A transducer is a power transforming device which can convert one form of energy into another. A pyramid depending on its size, angle, construction and materials used (Professor Atkinson described Silbury Hill as being inside a “highly coloured layer cake”), can generate huge amounts of electrical energy which can be converted into large magnetic fields, seismic (communication signals), Ion Generator/Bionizer (as found in modern air purifiers/conditioners), heat and earth (ley line) energy. Water nearby, which is common to all pyramids, provides a constant source of negative anions.

Was there a highly intelligent civilisation in our pre-history who understood the properties of pyramids and the science of our planet? Were pyramids built because they were critical to their survival and the continued existence of their offspring – us!! Their amazing mathematical and astrological knowledge suggest they did?

Is this another crackpot idea? Russian scientists don’t think so. They are building pyramids to purify the surrounding atmosphere to help tackle the effects of greenhouse gasses. Maybe one day we will see pyramid power used to replace wind farms?

Was Silbury Hill originally built as a pyramid? The evidence from other pyramids and the details of my research on Silbury Hill suggest it was a pyramid and part of a huge complex incorporating Avebury Stone Circles nearby and Stonehenge to the south. If Silbury Hill was originally built as a pyramid this would show a remarkable link to other pyramids and hence highly intelligent civilisations that grew up in our pre-history.

Are we being studied? Is the Alien Visitor aware that it had left its knowledge and experiences behind on our planet? If it returns will we have some common knowledge that will enable us to understand the secrets of space and our hidden powers?

Regular journeys past the ancient sites of Silbury Hill and the standing stones of Avebury prompted him to consider where our knowledge could have come from and the seeds of the Alien Visitor gene theory began.

Parthenon Marbles or Elgin Marbles? New Museum Sparks Debate

The opening of the new Acropolis Museum in Athens has raised thought-provoking questions about museum artifact ownership. This particular debate centers on the Parthenon Marbles (Elgin Marbles), a stunning façade or wall relief that was transported from Greece to the British Museum of Natural History between 1801 and 1805 by Thomas Bruce, 7th Lord of Elgin. So nefarious was his deed, the act of relocating precious artifacts from their natural or national context is now known as elginism and is specifically defined as “an act of cultural vandalism.”

History is ripe with instances of elginism and few nations are innocent of the practice, though it’s clear that the richer the nation, the more common the practice. Museums in Britain, the United States and Germany display a vast tapestry of ancient history with ties that are born of colonization and war. At least these artifacts that were illicitly gained are on display to be appreciated by the masses, even if those masses seldom have any direction lineage to the history they represent. Oftentimes, elginism is even more villainous and criminal. Much of the natural history that’s been stolen from poorer nations resides in private collections, appreciated by individual owners and no one else.

Much has been done in the last 60 years to preserve the natural history of vulnerable nations. The United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has put international law in place to discourage the artifact trafficking and protect monuments, statues and sculptures in their native land. The primary protocol established in 1954 defined specific regulations around the protection of cultural property in the event of war. A second protocol was added in 1999, extending the intention of the law to not only prevent the treatment of cultural artifacts as “spoils of war,” but also to prevent their destruction during armed conflict. An international fund was also established to facilitate the return of cultural property to its rightful nation.

Despite these international laws, recovery of stolen artifacts is often a lengthy process even when nations demonstrate some level of cooperation. In 1990, antiques restorer Jonathan Tokeley-Parry, a shady fixture of the British art collector scene, smuggled a bust of Amenhotep III by coating it in liquid plastic and painting it black and gold. The makeover gave the artifact the look of a tacky souvenir that fooled they eyes of customs officials. Tokeley-Parry was charged four years later in Britain for attempting to sell another ill-gotten archaeological find. Police recovered the Amenhotep III bust five years later, but it would take almost twenty years of legal wrangling by Egypt before the Pharaoh’s bust was returned to its rightful home.

The fate of the Parthenon Marbles remains undecided. The Greek government and populace cry out for their return and state with pride that the Acropolis Museum has been constructed as a worthy and rightful home. Some voices in the British government sing the same chorus, introducing legislation before the Parliament to return the “Elgin Marbles” to Greece. Others worry that the return of the marbles will set an unsettling precedent that will begin a wave of demand for the return of cultural artifacts. They argue that if this flood gate is opened, some of the world’s most beloved museums will soon be barren.

The questions surrounding cultural ownership are complex. There is truth that the stewardship of cultural property by other nations has actually preserved many cultural artifacts that would have fallen into disrepair or been destroyed had they remained in their cultural context. Some argue that when artifacts are gained in conquest or conflict their ownership becomes part of the conquering nation’s history. Ultimately the solution is not likely an all-or-nothing proposition, but lies somewhere in the middle ground of shared ownership.

One wonders what viewpoint Indiana Jones has on this topic. Does this fictitious collector of rare antiquities have an opinion about where the Ark of the Covenant truly belongs? Certainly not with the Nazis. The US government, unlikely. If Dr. Jones had it all to do again, he might just leave it in Tanis satisfied knowing that the Nazis were digging in the wrong place.
